IKEA Seattle: No Refund for Non-Existent Product Charge

IKEA Seattle: No Refund for Non-Existent Product Charge Hi, below is my complaint about IKEA Seattle: On 7/1, I purchased a sofa from IKEA, along with other items. The charge for the sofa and other items was $1,262.09 + home delivery shipping fee of $49.01. When I paid for the sofa, the sales people mentioned that they reserved the sofa for me for the home delivery (proof available). However, right before the home delivery, customer service rep called to tell that the sofa was oversold, so they are not able to deliver, and the price of the sofa will be refunded. Nothing happened since then. So, I called IKEA Seattle on 7/4 and the customer rep that I talked had no idea about my case. Obviously, the initial call was not even recorded on their system, hence no refund. The new customer rep gave me the case number "1614507" and promised that I would be called the latest 7/5 about the refund. Nobody called so far and nobody refunded my money. IKEA Seattle basically sold me a non-existent product and has been using the funds for 5 days. Also, I bought the home delivery just for the sofa. But since, items upto 30 were included in the price, I let them deliver other things as well, which I could have well brought home myself. Hence, I would like the home delivery charge to be refunded along with the sofa. I want the following refund ASAP for the services/products that are not delivered by IKEA Seattle as promised: IKEA Vreta Leather Sofa: $979.01 (incl. tax) Home Delivery Charge: $49.01 (incl. tax) TOTAL: $1,028.02 Sincerely, Mehmet Akgun From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 06-Jul-07 00:13:42 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
