My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary by traveling to Italy last

September 2006. We used our Merrill Lynch credit card points to purchase one

of the tickets. M.L. contracts Carlson Travel to plan trips purchased with

M.L. points, and therefore they scheduled our flight itinerary.

When my wife and I arrived to the airline check-in counter, the attendant

informed us that on our way back from Italy we did not have enough time to

clear customs and catch our connecting flight back home. Carlson had only

allotted 50 minutes in our travel itinerary to deboard, clear customs, and

board our connecting flight.

Clearly Carlson did not give us enough time in the itinerary they scheduled

for us. As a result, the ticket agent transferred us to a later connecting

flight but charged us $100 per ticket transfer fee. We paid $200 dollars to

fix Carlson's error.

After returning home, I tried calling Carlson and have been given the

"runaround" for 10 months now. Nobody seems to have any answers about

reimbursing me for the $200 charge I incurred because of Carlson's error.

Ten months later, I have spoken to several supervisors and have been lied to

on several occasions.

On one occasion I was told a shamless, blatant lie by a supervisor by the

name of Nathan. When I asked him for an email address so that this message

could be forwarded to Carlson, he told me that emails can not be received

from outside of his office. This is absurd. What business can not receive

emails from "outside of the office"? So I caught him in his lie because I

had previously emailed a representative from his office last year for a

previous trip I took. When I told him, he mysteriously came up with an email

address that might work.

Carlson should be ashamed of the way that their supervisors are treating

clients-- unprofessional and dishonest. All I am asking is for reimbursement

for my $200 transfer fee. I can't figure out what is so difficult about

reimbursing me.

Sincerely,

Ernesto Gonzalez
