25th July 2007

To

M/S Tata Indicom

Mumbai

Dear Sir/Madam

This has reference to my telephonic conversation

regarding the irregularities of the Tata Indicom

Customer service wing at Bangalore.

I have taken one Tata Indicom walky connection (Phone

Number – 64511475) by paying Rs.1122/- ( Rupees one

thousand one hundred and twenty two only) under the

Rs180 plan on the 30th of June 2007 ( receipt number

S.L. No. KR – 00044186) registered by Anilkumar Jain

of the Tata Indicom office at Frazer Town, Bangalore.

On receiving the payment I was assured that the

instrument would be installed within 48 hours but was

installed on 05/07/07 by Mr.Narayanan ( who insisted i

pay him an amount for installation and I had paid

Rs.50/-

Instrument Model – LSP –350T

CDMA Fixed Wireless Terminal

ESN DEC – 02114789025

ESN HEX - 15E1A9A1

Printed as Not for Sale.

Since 5th July I have been receiving calls and also

making calls.

I was out of station from 10th July evening to 12th

July Morning. On return found the instrument out of

charge, hence tried to charge it and the phone went

dead. After which I called the customer care 66680121

and reported the same. On the instructions from the

customer care to switch off the instrument and restart

the same, the telephone still continued to be

non-functional.

I had spoken to the following customer care

executives on 12th July – Prasanna, Lokesh, Jayanthi.

They gave me a complaint number( 7859891) and stated

that the problem would be rectified within 12 working

hours. Waited for 12 hours to be completed and called

again but in vain. In spite of repeated calls to the

concerned authorities the problem had not been

rectified.

However not losing hope I called again on the 24th

July and I was given a complaint number (79804759) by

Mr.Ganesh who also connected me to speak to the floor

manager Ms.Sasikala who took my alternate phone number

to revert back. Once again waited till 3pm on 24th

July 2007 for the phone call from Ms.Sasikala in vain.

Hence at this juncture on the 24th July 2007 I had to

consult my legal advisor and on his advice I stated to

one Mr.Chakrapani (customer service executive) that I

would go in for legal action against the company for

the irresponsible behaviour of the concerned

authorities. I have also contacted the corporate

office and tried speaking to Ms.Suroor Hussain who was

not available at the time of my call, so left a

message with the person who received my call.

I regret to state that with no other alternative, I

will have to approach the legal machinery

(Consumer forum) for assistance and due relief, if the

same is not complied to within 3 days on receiving

this letter.

I request you to take immediate action in this regard.

Thanking you

Yours sincerely

Customer
