Citicards dispute resolution

I've just been going through the merchant dispute process with Citcards.

They now say I have no recourse since the retailer's return receipt for the

merchandise arrived at my home one day after some Mastercard cutoff date. So I

have lost the merchandise, yet still have to pay the original price. I have

found that Citicards disputes are subcontracted to Credit Bureau Disputes, Inc.

I believe they are covering for their own clerical delays, yet there

doesn't seem to be any recourse beyond them. Catch 22 I guess.
