Maytag Neptune Front Loading Washer

Maytag Neptune redesigned front loading washer purchased in 2005 still =

has existing problem with mold and mildew.....beware......do not buy =

this product.

Maytag has been of no help......they have been accusatory saying we =

created the problem with our washer.

Maytag front loading washers had a mold/mildew problem due to water =

sitting in rubber door gasket and not draining. Engineers redesinded =

the door gasket with a hole and hose to drain standing water. THE =

REDESIGN DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

We have the new redesigned model and have a horribe mold, mildew problem =

with clothes coming out smelling as if they have been washed in mildew.

Today a tech was here. We found that our clothes are actually being =

washed in moldy, mildewy, bacteria laden wash water.

When the engineers redesigned the door gasket with the hose and small =

drain hose.........they did not plan that the hose would clog with slime =

and that it would back up into the wash water.........well that is what =

the new redesigned Maytag Neptune is doing. What a tremendous health =

risk to people. Don't believe any salesperson that Maytag has =

corrected the problem. You'll be sorry. And when they tell you on the =

phone to just run lyme away thru your washer to correct the =

problem..........don't believe them. You'll need a tech periodiclly to =

come out to your home to disassemble the machine to clean out the slimy, =

bacteria laden clogged hose.

The Executive offie was rude upon contact.......at one point the woman =

told me to be quiet, so she could read me the company's pat =

response.........bleach, lyme away, you use to much soap, your water's =

not hot enough, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!!!!!! =20

This corporation knows what the problems are. They are deceitful to be =

selling a defective product that can cause serious health issues. When =

I mentioned my concerns about the mold relative to my child's health =

issue..........their response was to stop using their product. Now if =

they would only come out and cart the 20 loads of laundry I have =

everyday with 3 kids........to the local laundramat for me. =20

There really needs to be another class action lawsuit for those of us =

who purchased these new redesigned maytag frontloading =

wahsers...............that are still defective............and even more =

dangerous than the preceding models covered under the old class action =

lawsuit.

Lowes, HomeDepot and any other reputable retailer should refuse to sell =

these washers until Maytag agrees to rectify and stand behing their =

products. We will never again buy a Maytag product. Whirlpool who now =

owns the Maytag brand should act quiclkly to rectify.
