I hired Mr. Young to do a major landscape project on April 4, 2007. He repeatedly breached our contract beginning the day he started the job on April 9, 2007. I have complained again and again to Albert and his assistant, Robert Blevin, in person, on the phone, and by fax, about the following violations of our agreement:

1) Tardiness. Albert Young and his crew never worked on time. Most days they arrived after 4PM and only worked for an hour or so.

2) Absenteeism. At one time they did not show up to work for two whole days. Another time for more than a week. The last occasion was for over two weeks.

3) Took a total of $7,700 from me but refused to work.

4) Intentionally delayed the work for the following purposes:

a) To catch-up on his other jobs. Mr. Young claimed that he had too many jobs but not enough workers.

b) To save money. He admitted that it would be cost effective for him to delay my project.

5) Demanded the following from me:

a) Increase the contracted amount.

b) Released him from all liabilities.

c) Allow him to finish the job without a contract.

6) Abandoning the construction site in an unsafe and hazzard condition.

7) Failure to complete the job on the date specified on our contract.

8) Failure to finish any portion of the project.

9) Failure to provide the good service and professional result as promised.

10) Unwillingness to resolve the problems.

11) Rejected the three options I gave him to resolve the issues:

a) Complete the project as originally agreed correctly and promptly.

b) Hire another contractor to finish the job and pay for it.

c) Refund the whole $7,700 and fix the damages.

Enclosed are some documents relating to this matter. I have filed my complaints with the Contractors State License Board, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Action and San Bernardino County DA. Albert Young must be stopped before he does this to somebody else.
