Dodge 2004 Quid cab 4x4 1500 fuel pump assy replacement and clamps??

Hello

I have a used trk that I bought as a never damaged trk. I have had to =

get the fram straighten and a wheel that has a flat place in it, always =

have complained about this to the dealer, Recesitely I had some warranty =

work done whick they replaced the fuel pump , the dealer gave the truck =

a inspection and tolled me that the right side drive shaft was dammaged, =

and thats where the vibriation was comming from, Now it gets real =

strange, When I picked up the truck from the dealer I walked around =

inspection and seen that they forgot to hook the filler house back up to =

the outside of the truck. now read carefully!! I filled up the tank and =

drove home, the next day I was 3 miles or so on a country road that was =

cervie and bumpy. ,I went around one curve and it started to miss out =

and then smoothed out about 500ft around the next curve it missed out =

again and then smoothed out again, I thought it must be water in the =

tank? Nextcurve it quit running and I turned the key off and started to =

step out when I noticed fire and smoke comming from the between the cab =

and the bed, I ran about100ft away, Now I have a degree in automotive.

The only way I can see this happing is that the plasitc clips that hold =

the lines to the tank are not part of the fuel pump replacement package. =

and therefore it did not get ordered at the time of repair and the lines =

allowed the fuel lines to partsily come off which allowed the fuel under =

pressuer to spue on the exhust and therfore stert the fire.

This is only my thoughts on this but I lost my truck and It seems verry =

easy to say that the $18.00 clips should be part of the replacement =

parts of the fuel pumps assy.

It is strange that Coyle Dodge in New albany IN. Thinks that I started =

this fire and by seening the lack of attaintion to hook up the filler =

hose, It is clear that maybe the clips weren't even put on!

I was woundering if others have had this type of complaint.

All people that I have tolled this to, Warranty co. and my insurance co. =

can't beleive this , and to the dealler to give me the runaround for 3 =

days is not very customer relatations.
