Travel trailer/ Crossroad Industries/ Sub of Thor Industries

Buyer Beware: Our experiance regarding purchase of brand new 18 ft.Zinger travel trailer (manufactured by Crossroad R.V. Inc. Subsiduary of Thor Industries)

Purchased August 20th, 2005

September, 2006 Winterized trailer

November, 2006 did regular check inside trailer - found water in cupboards

Took trailer for warranty repair to Candan R.V. Center November, 2006

As well as water damage we also requested that repair be done on holes found on aluminum, and water supply hose need repair.

Crossroad R.V. denied warranty claim saying it was not maintained by owner.

After numerous e-mails and a long distance phone call to President of Crossroad R.V. (was informed that they do not exept e-mails even though they have e-mail address on web site). They said they would honor warranty repairs and replace aluminum.

(aluminum sent by Crossroad R.V. twice, both times wrong product)

Repair completed June 2nd 2007, 6 months later.

June 2nd 2007 maintenance and cleaning of trailer, another leak found.

Plywood of bed black and moldy as well as all bedding and mattress. Pitures taken and e-mailed to Candan R.V. Centre June 5th, 2007.

Candan R.V. Centre picked up trailer from our home on June 8th, 2007 for more repair.

Sent Candan R.V. time line and estimate to replace damaged bedding June 14th, 2007

Sent letter of complaint to Crossroad R.V. (President Mark) and forwarded copies to Candan R.V., CRVA, RVDA, RIVA, NRVOC and R.V. Times

Holidays to start June 24th, 2007

Received cheque from Crossroad R.V. in amount of $240.50 for damaged bedding (1/2 the amount that we claimed for)

Warrenty department claimed that they negotiated this amount with us.

July 5th talked to president (Mark) of Crossroad R.V. out of the office but will return my call

I phoned president (Mark) of Crossroads on July 9th, 2007, discussed how dissatified we are and still no trailer

Mentioned chequed not really sure if this was for bedding

President said that one of his employees (Randy) would be calling me July 10th.

Call from Warrenty person Lowanna asking about the letter of complaint.

We should be putting blame on Candan

Mattress sent on July 13th

Received copies of e-mails from Candan R.V. regarding correspondance with Crossroad R.V.

Phoned Lowanna at Crossroad R..V. totally dissatisfied will be mailing letter to Thor Industries and probably legal action

Must say Candan R.V. very professional and helpful not a problem at all with them.
