Bank of America is stealing from me! In 11/06 I deposited a check for 40000 into my account, the rep told me and my husband it would be avalible that Friday, I had many overdraft fees as the whole amount was not availible that day, only $1000 of it. I complained to the bank and customer service and recieved no assistance. When I wrote the corporate office, they stated that too much time had passed and they couldn't help me. I then had an incident occur when tried to open a savings account that same month.. surprisingly enought it didn't get opened and I took my savings to San Antonio Health Employees credit union. In 06/07 I deposited a payroll check into my account when a teller asked me if I'd like to apply for overdraft protection, I stated I did. So I filled out the form and sent it to her there at the window. On 06/13/07 a man called from Bank of america at 9 am from 1 800 2217033 and stated that I was approved for this over draft protection, he also stated I would recieve a gold card for $10,000 and have $5000 for a amex card linked to my account for overdraft protection with a low interest rate. I expressed concern over having an AMEX card, but then after thoroughly talking it over with him, I agreed. I started using my bank card as a cc since he said they were issued that day and the credit card was linked to my checking account. Imagine my surprise when I recieved over draft fees for over $315 when I called the rep she said she would take care of it and she was sorry about the error. I found more NSF fees following AND a returned check the very next day, again they apologized to me stating that they sent a letter out stating that I had not linked up the accout properly. So then I went to the bank branch where I talked to Ms. Laura Escobedo on 06/29 at 5 pm she promised me a call back from the bank manager the following day. I have heard nothing. I have called, and left several messages, yet no calls have been returned. I have talked to the credit department who stated that the gentleman I first spoke with must have set it up incorrectly and that they were very sorry but it's up to the branch manager to ok the return on fees!!! I am very upset. My information here has not been secure as my account has been compromised several times and feel this bank is doing little to serve, keep promises or to protect clients.
