Park Nicollet Clinic/Park Nicollet Health Care Products When I went to the Park Nicollet Urgent Care in Brooklyn Center in early February 2007 for a left ankle fracture, the doctor indicated in his notes that I had an Ace bandage and an air cast splint applied. However, the nurse that he sent in to wrap my ankle applied ONLY the Ace bandage and instructed me how to use the air cast after the swelling in my ankle went down. I was seen by a different doctor at a different location 2 days later, and his notes indicated I would be graduating to an air cast as instructed by the doctors from 2 days earlier. When I did try to put the air cast on the next day, the top Velcro strap was too short to wrap around my calf. So I returned the air cast to the clinic where I had received it. When I received a bill for it, I called the billing department and explained the situation. Their position is that I don't want to pay it because it is too much money. I told them it is too much money to pay for something I never used and returned in the original packaging. They are unwilling to do anything about it. A complaint was filed with the State of Minnesota Attorney General's Office, but they can not force Park Nicollet to take any action either. =20 Wylie R.
