A and E Factory Repair / Whirlpool preferred service provider

A and E Factory Repair / Whirlpool preferred service provider A and E Factory Repair Lake Tapps, Washington A and E is the preferred service provider for Whirlpool appliances. My Experience: I made an appointment with a Whirlpool customer service person to service my Maytag dryer. The agent was very pleasant. She placed me on hold and came back with a service date and time after speaking with the routing room for A and E Factory Repair. The appointment was set for Friday July 13th between the hours of 8-5. During the week, I changed my flight to California to leave around 8:00pm instead of the 3:00 that was already booked. Cost $100. Friday July 13th, I stayed home from work. ( Did not get paid for the day). Around 3:00 pm I had still not received a phone call as promised so I called the A&E service desk. I was told "oh no", " you are not on the schedule for the day". "We did not have enough technicians to schedule your service today". I was repeatedly told there is nothing that we can do. Never once an apology or a good reason as to why I was not scheduled. I explained that if I would have received a phone call in the a.m. I could have made the best of a bad situation and would have still been able to leave for California with my family. I asked to be credited the $50.00 service fee during the next scheduled appointment set for July 17th and a before noon service because of the admitted screw up by A and E staff. I was told "absolutely not, we do not have a responsibility to do that". Let's see, my cost $320.00 for the day missed at work, $40.00 for the neighbor kid who I will have to pay to wait at my house on the 17th and a $100.00 change fee for my airline ticket. My calculations = $460.00 lost in one day. A&E factory repair cost: No phone call to let me know they made a mistake and would not be showing up, no reason for the scheduling error, no service fee credit, and no apology = No responsibility for their actions. I'll let you know how the July 17th works out! From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 13-Jul-07 19:05:48 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
