This is in regards to Silver Screen Talent Group Inc. located in Toront=

o, Ontario. As I write

this there are two other complaints about them on this site. My experie=

nce was similar to

the others. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba and Steve Dutton, president of =

Silver Screen came

to town with a bunch of what I can only assume were employees on a "tal=

ent search". The

short version of the story is this: I fell for it and did a "screen tes=

t" for them, they

"accepted" me and took some headshots and I signed onto a two year cont=

ract with them.

Then they went back to Toronto with $608.50 of my money and a bunch of =

other gullible

people's money too. They said they would send me a few of my headshots =

and put my

picture on their website right away. This was in February of 2005. By M=

ay I had not

received the shots and my picture was not online yet. Only after I call=

ed them did I get my

shots and my picture appeared online. A lot of movies are shot in Winni=

peg in the

summer. "Shall we dance" was filmed here, as was part of some cowboy mo=

vie starring

Brad Pitt which as I write this has not been released yet. Silver Scree=

n told me they would

get me extra work. Well, they didn't call all that summer so I called t=

hem. They politely

gave me the brush-off. I called a few more times and the same thing hap=

pened. Not once

the whole time I was being "represented" by them did they contact me. N=

ow here comes

the happy ending:

In February of 2007 the contract was up. Silver Screen had not fulfille=

d their part of the

contract so I took them to small claims court and I won. The judgement =

covered the entire

amount they took from me plus court expenses. Woo!=A0

So if anybody reading this has been scammed by Silver Screen, contact m=
