Intermatic digital wall switch SS7

Bad experience with Intermatic digital wall switch SS7...I see other =

customers too have put in complaints for the famous "no0p" error - and I =

suffered on the same recurring problem. When this noOp comes up, switch =

simply refuses to go off - and hats of to the engineers who have =

designed such a stubborn machine that you simply CANNOT switch it off =

... even manual off does not work (it goes back to 'always on' mode in =

about 3 seconds).=20

Sometimes a manual resetting or changing battery would work - but I =

finally gave up after 2 years and guess what - had to buy another unit =

from the same company (upgraded to SS8 model this time) as no retailer =

(Lowe's or Home Depot) carries any other brand with same features!

It seems otherwise good and reliable - but over-engineered to the =

extreme that manual overrides do not work.

Wish there is some other company making this kind of feature-laden =

switches (but friendlier designs)!
