UPS Lost My Package or Stole It and Bed, Bath and Beyond doesn't care

UPS Lost My Package or Stole It and Bed, Bath and Beyond doesn't care I ordered two nightstands from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. The day these items were supposed to arrive, they were nowhere to be found. I called UPS and they said that the items were delivered according to their tracking system. I asked them how can they make that confirmation when I never signed for the package. They responded with the same verbiage. They sounded like a broken record. I asked if there was a claims department or anyone else I could talk to about my missing package. They said I had to call Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but according to UPS records (which is bs), my package was left at my front door. Well, I can tell you all this much, if there was a package at my front door, would I be wasting my time calling this P.O.S company? I then called Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They will not resend my order until an investigation occurs. I asked them if I definitely will receive a reshipment. Their answer is that there is no guarantee. I asked them if they could specify on my order that I need to sign for my package with UPS. They said that they can't tell UPS to do anything. I believe this is not true because you can specify on the UPS website that a customer HAS to be present in order to receive a package - this request can only be done by the person who ships the package (i.e. BB&B). Bed, Bath and Beyond just doesn't care if you receive your packages. They also already took my money and charged my credit card, so don't really care anymore. Buyer beware - UPS shipping should be avoided at all costs and Bed, Bath, and Beyond could care less after they take your money. My solution to the problem - I called my credit card company to dispute the charges. I'm not losing $100 because UPS and BB&B don't care about customer service. Oakton, VA

Unfortuntely, there isn't a place to check off or write customer must be present to sign. We really do care about our customers. We don't care about selling the higher priced item, we care about selling you the one that will work the best for you. We have some things in the store that I won't even show people because their quality is bad and we had a lot of returns from them. Even if that means that they can't afford the higher priced item and they won't buy anything.
We want customers to come back. We enjoy seeing them satisfied.. Our corporate offices just have certain procedures that they go by. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
