Rogers Internet and Cable TV

Rogers Internet and Cable TV Am I being ripped off big time? I needed internet service for one month so = I contacted Rogers. Here is what I was told. =2444.95 for express internet, no installation charge. =2424.97 for basic TV service, no =E2=80=9Cbox=E2=80=9D whatever that is. =243 rental for the internet modem. I did some rough math. =2445+=2425+=243=3D=2473. Add the tax and you are = looking at approximately =2484. I figured that I could afford that for one = month so I agreed. To my surprise, when my bill arrived, it was for the amount of =24120.10, = a difference of =2440. To some that is a small amount, but for me it is a = lot of money, and to Rogers, it could add up to millions. After a lengthy conversation with Rogers, on my cell phone, they could not = understand one of the charges. They there was something about billing = periods. Since I could not afford the extra charges, I wanted to cancel = immediately. However, I was told that I have to give them 30 days notice in order to cancel the service. In other words, I am = stuck with a bill for services I did not bargain for. Initially. I just wanted to cancel the TV service and keep the internet so = that I could afford it, but that was no deal. Thirty days was the answer. = I didn=E2=80=99t care for the TV service anyway because of the poor = programming, but unfortunately I got stuck with it. Prior to the installation, they did not explain anything about the 30 days = notice. They did not explain anything about their strange billing period = conundrum. Friends, beware of Rogers. Are they are out to milk the public? What do = you think? Shall I ever choose Rogers ever again? What would you do?
