I have already mailed you on the subject last week. My user ID is

ishanyj and the problem is NO CONNECTION SINCE 27TH June. I just talked

to one of the officers and I am reported that the problem exists with my

connection only (and everything is o.k. in my area). There is no

information on what the problem is. Can this be looked in to on

priority now?

No internet connection for more than 10 days is really showing the

technical capacity and customer service of Tata Indicom now. Every time

I talk to the executives on their help line, only thing I hear is the

problem is getting looked in to and they will have a resolution very

soon. They are no better than an automatic answering machine. When asked

to let me talk to someone senior or at least getting a contact number,

they feel sorry for not being able to do that.

If you are looking for a new Broadband connection, Tata Indicom should

not be on your choice list. They don't understand the importance of not

having internet connection.

Hi Yateen,

You arent the only one! I had applied for a Tata Indicom broadband

connection about 10 days back and they had said they will install it within

a weeks time. Havent got that till now. Initially they said they had some

prob as for Pimple Saudagar they had some tie up with BSNL and now BSNL is

insisting that anyone who takes a tata broadband also had to take a BSNL

landline. Initially i had disagreed, but since there arent many options, i

had agreed to take the landline connection. But, inspite of that i havent

got a connection till now. Importantly, their sales people dont even have

the courtesy to call back. Infact, the mobile of the sales person, who had

come to sell me the connection, is now out of order. prob didnt pay

money..watever! but that again is a tata indicom phone. So, it sounds wierd=

.

Anyways, right now i have abs. no clue of when i will get the connection,

coz i am unable to elicit a response from these people. I am seriously

considering opting for some other provider.

Hi,

They are totally tarnishing the Tata brand.

I have problems with their connection too. I've been their customer for

about 10 years now. For the whole billing cycle of 11th May to 11th

June, my connection was down for some "backend problem". Everytime I

tried to browse the web, I was taken to a 'TI BB WebDialer' page. They

never told me what was wrong, and have not given me any downtime credit

either. My connection has never worked for two straight months without

any prblems. Why don't I switch? there is nobody else who provides pure

broadband in my area.

As far as I remember, a few months ago their sad customer service was

mentioned in Times of India as well. Their call centre is totally

useless, because those people have no real power. They can see a

mis-spelling in my username, but are not allowed to correct it. Even if

they can see from the complaints and my usage data that my connection

was really down for a whole month, they have no power to give a

downtime credit.

They don't even have a toll free number, so while you wait dozens of

minutes to talk to an 'executive' (who has no executive powers) and

while they 'access your account information' you are paying for it.

They are totally tarnishing the Tata brand.

Anyway. I think I should stop now, the list is endless.
