Complaint e eee Joseph & Ruth Delfino 2971 William Few Pkwy Evans, Ga 30809 706-650-5900
We left Atlanta on Flight 1629 11/24/06 at 11:00 am seats 20-21 A&B this was an airline called Song ( Green & Yellow or white plane). Used by Delta. There were 2 male Stewards on board, one was tall white male with a foreign accent his name was Mike. (We asked his name upon departure ) to Phoenix and the other was a large black man. We had paid for a dog permit and was rudely addressed by both stewarts. The Stewart "Mike" kept moving the dog from place to place and disturbing the other passengers with our dog. He was very rude, and kept asking us dumb questions like will that dog get out and run all over the plane and I will have to chase him. The dog was in a carrier and under the front seat; he wasn't trying to get out or bothering anything or anyone. He slept the whole flight. Number Two Complaint: The other Stewart (The Black man) who was serving the drinks on this flight was also very rude and hateful, my husband (Joseph P. Delfino) just had surgery for lung cancer and wasn't feeling well. Also he doesn't hear very well either and this Stewart was asking me what I had wanted to drink and I told him quite plainly my husband wanted coffee and cream and a sweet and low, I wanted water and a cranberry juice. This Stewart asked my husband what he wanted again and my husband said my wife just gave you my order, didn't you hear her. The stewart then leans over me and got into my husbands face and quite loudly told him he wasn't a dog to be talked to like that, this man was ready to really start a fight with my husband,( my husband is 76 years old and 5'4''). The Stewart then leans me again and gets into my husbands face and asked him DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. He was very, very ugly and hateful for no reason. We were treated like crap on this flight, when the black stewart found out we had a dog on board, he also went bananas, and went and told us we couldn't have him there. He went to the female Stewardness and complained to her, she obviously told him to shut his mouth as he never said another word, as we were c oming into Phoenix at that time. The dog was on an empty seat (in seat B) between us and belted in,in his carrier. The flight was not full so there was an empty seat. We had paid for him and what reason did they have to go berserk over this. I put him on the floor under the seat when we were landing in Phoenix, also on take off from Atlanta. The dog has flown many miles on other airlines and never had a problem, not once. This was with out a doubt the most hateful crew we had ever dealt with. We will never fly Delta again. I want to report this behavior to the proper authorities to ensure that they are at least told of the incident and ask them to have a more professional crew and to act in a professional manner, next time this happens, and it will as there are many people who fly with dogs and cats. We will trave another air line next, thats for sure. Please respond to this letter.
Thank you Joseph & Ruth Delfino
I wrote this letter to customer service over 12 months ago and no response I am assuming they don't care about their passengers or their relationship with people who fly with them.
