Cingular Wireless $50.00 Rebate I received two $50.00 rebates as promised (one for my with and the other for myself. They were in the form of a Visa Debit card. In that hey were not checks which I could cash or deposit, I placed mine in my wallet and my wife placed her's in her wallet. Once there, they were forgotten as we usually make all of our purchases with a mileage credit card.
After Christmas, being over budget, I remembered the card. I tried to use the card at a local store and was advised the it had expired in 11/2006.
I called the Cingular Rebates center @ 866-297-3611 and was told that they would send a request to Cingular to see if they would reissue mine. I was told that it would take up to 30 days before I would hear anything. I was also told that my wife would have to call in about her rebate. I asked if there was any thing that they could send me to confirm our phone conversation and was told no.
In my book, $50.00 is $50.00 dollars and my wife's makes $100.00. If they had sent a check like everyone else this would not be a problem...it's like they are Counting on people not noticing the expiration date.
