In response to their television commercials, I inquired, by telephone, of a Vonage sales rep as to whether their system would meet my set-up, in which my desktop computer is not located in the room in which my telephone and my high speed internet connection are located. I was told that the Vonage system would work in that situation, “All you have to do is hook it up” the sales rep said. I ordered the Vonage equipment, wrestled with tryig to set it up, failed to do so, called Vonage and was told by their tech support agent that their system would work only if the internet connection, the telephone and the computer were all in the same immediate vicinity. In other words, the Vonage sales agent had misrepresented the capacity of the Vonage system. I inquired of Vonage ast how I could return their equipment at their expense and was told I had to pay the shipping. I did so, sending the equipment via the US Post Office. Vinag charged me for the falsely represented equipment, saying they never received it, which was untrue because I had PO confirmation of delivery. Timothy L.
