NO CONNECTION FROM MNGL

Sirs,

This is a complaint about Mahanagar Gas Ltd who promised us cheap and smooth supply of piped gas hassle free.We the residents of Shitaldevi Temple Bldg.,L.J.Rd.,

Mahim.Mumbai 400 016, about 30 residents from our complex,applied to MNGL paying Rs 2500/- per flat on 24-07-2003.The company initially promptly laid the underground pipe line and fixed the pipes on the bldg. and gave the inlets in each house.But there after todate they have neither connected the gas line to the main connection which is just 50 mtrs away.They have not fixed the gas meters in the flats.

The most interesting thing is that the two adjecent complexes ie Saraswat Colony and Shitalkripa bldgs are supplied the pipe gas. When this was brought to the notice of MNGL their technicians inspected the site and said that we will get connections by monthend. So many months and years have passed but the company is cool. I visited personally many times their office and also sent them e-mails on28-02-06(OTHER C 5208) ,On 06-03-069(OTHER C 5274) which they acknowledged and thanked for lodging complaints but not given any response to my both mails. I had requested them either they should give the connection or if that is not possible then return our money with interest. Unfortunately they are not responding nor returning the money.Every time excuse is given that BMC's permission awaited.BMC says that nobody has approached them.

I am a senior citizen and it is impossible for me and other residents to check with them every now and then for the connection.Even if at all they give connecton they should give us benifit for using our money for last THREE years.

We are feeling very very helpless and hence approaching you for guidance and the help.
