Westinghouse Digital Electronics On 7/79/05 I purchased a Westinghouse LTV 32w1 LCD TV for $1500.00. 14 months later, the main module burned out. Of those 14 months, the TV was only used for 12 b/c I was working out of state for 2 months.
I took the TV in to get it repaired at my own cost (it was out of warranty) the first week of October 2006. Westinghouse provided me with the names and numbers of their distributors. The distributors were contacted and only one could provide the part but on back order to Nov. 29, 2006. I ordered and paid for the part.
On November 29 I was told that the part was again back ordered to Jan.2, 2007. On Jan 2, 2007 I was told it was back ordered to Jan. 31, 2007. The distributor claims that Westinghouse is not making and providing the part.
The parts are supposed to be available for 4 years after a purchase. I have called Westinghouse 4 times trying to get the part but they refuse to give me any information as to whether or not they will ever provide the part. Their customer service representatives refuse to let me speak to a supervisor or anyone that may be able to solve this dilemma.
Westinghouse does not have the part and does not appear to be making the part or to provide the part. I am out $1500.00 for a Westinghouse lemon and the company cares naught about their customers. I will no longer buy any of their products.

AFTER JUST 18 MTHS THE TV IS DEAD. THEY PICKED IT UP THE DAY AFTER I CALLED- HOWEVER, IT'S BEEN OVER 3 WEEKS AND ALL I GET ARE EXCUSES.THEY BLAME WESTINGHOUSE - STATING THAT IT TAKES OVER 30 DAYS TO GET A RETURN AUTHORIZATION FROM THEM BEFORE THEY CAN PROCESS ANYTHING. NO TV, NO OFFER OF A LOANER, NO APOLOGIES. THIS THE WORST EXCUSE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE 1ST SERVICE PERSON I SPOKE TO SAID THEY NO LONGER EVEN CARRY THAT BRAND OR STYLE- SO WHY AM I BEING MADE TO WAIT WHILE CONN'S & WESTINGHOUSE DICKER OVER WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ??? AFTER THIS FARCE IS RESOLVED I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH CONN'S OR WESTINGHOUSE AGAIN -IN FACT I'M VERY CLOSE TO DEFAULTING ON WHAT'S LEFT OF MY LOAN. THEY CAN KEEP THEIR WORTHLESS TV & THEIR EQUALLY WORTHLESS EXTENDED WARRANTY !!!!
