cancel a PeoplePc account

cancel a PeoplePc account PeoplePc Online I just hung up from canceling my account and I swear I told the lady about 10 times that I was NO longer in need of their services. She said she would give me a free month for being so loyal, but according to others who have cancelled, it’s just a gimmick to keep you and they charge you again after that month. I said NO thank you, just cancel my account please. She then tried to tell me that with high speed I get black outs and won’t be able to get online at all, and she can let me keep my peoplepc for a back up. (Like being booted off when getting an incoming call isn’t bad enough or having your line tied up) I again said No thanks, just cancel. Then she said I can keep my email address, so my contacts won’t get confused or have to change info. And that is for only $3 per month. I again said NO thanks, please just cancel my account. I finally told her, I know what she is doing because I’m in the same field myself (which I’m not) and that the company has been good to me thus far. (which they have) HOWEVER I am no longer in need of their services and want my account cancelled active immediately. She finally said OK and gave me a confirmation #. Everything I just read about PeoplePc reps. On this website 20 minutes ago, just happened to me. So to everybody out there who have them as their ISP, just a heads up if and when you ever need to cancel. Don’t fall for their “free” month or keeping your address. I understand it’s a business that is trying to profit, but it should not be this difficult to cancel. Good luck…Dan From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 05-Jan-07 16:52:10 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisThere hasn't been a phone in my home for over a year. I called People PC to cancel my services until further notice. They are STILL taking money out of my account!! I think that a lawyer should be involved.
