complaint against Countrywide Home loans regarding late fees

Hello:

Please post this complaint against Countrywide Home Loans. Countrywide posts there payments late

to intentionally charge customers a large late fee. This has been done to me numerous times.

I would warn anyone against taking a loan with Countryside Home Loans. There practices are deceptive

and rip off the customer. Anyone taking a home loan - Stay far away from Countrywide Home loans.

They will not post their payments timely even when provided with bank information.

The company address is:

Countrywide Home Loans

Po Box 660694

Dallas , Texas 75266

This consumer complaint will save other customers from having the same problems.

Thank you,

Neal Dickman

Burke, VA

Countrywide is now Bank of America and Bank of America is writing on every single one of my mortgage statements that they are posting my payments as "unapplied." which OF COURSE generates an illegal LATE CHARGE TO BANK OF AMERICA. I have spoken to now 18 Bank of America employees who just pass me on and on and on, one to a spanish speaking person, who passed me on and on and on, and somehow Bank of America's illegal late charge scam just keeps on happening. That's James Emerick, Lorraine Raymer, Brian Moyihan.

Im having the same issue. In 2005 I had this issue and the Washington Attorney Generals office rectified the situation for me, now I am having to turn to them again, But they keep saying the payment doesnt count as recieved until they post it, even though I hand deliver it to thier offices on time!

This too has happened to me. Our payment is due on the first of the month. We had a construction loan convert to a mortgage loan in September. Countrywide failed to provide us with documentation regarding additional monies to convert the loan in September pushing our monthly statements out two weeks in October and November. I recently sent the payment in Novemenber, post marked 11/13/07 with a grace period to 11/16/07.. They did not post the payment until 11/20/07. I was charged late fees. They then said they had no control over the US mail and were very rude to me. I spoke with a customer service rep, his supervisor, and manager. I am now looking for another mortgage institution with a far less interest rate and better customer service.
