McDonalds Gift Cards

McDonalds in Deming, New Mexico has denied honoring the

gift cards that my son"s Grandparents gave him for his christmas Presents. We have lived all over the U.S. and ALL states honor the McDonalds Gift Cards. This has been a tradition in our family. now we live in Deming New Mexico, and they tell us that no McDonalds in this state will honor them. I asked them to exchange the card for the equivilent amount in Gift Certificates, and they refused. As they do sell Gift Certificates! They would not even make it good and sent it to the Corporate Office for their refund.

I find this rather poor on the McDonalds Corporate Office as they should require the Franchises to either honor them in all states or at least ADVERTISE that they don't on the door or on the menu and especially at Christmas time! Now my son is out his annual Christmas present from his Grandparents and his Grandparents are out all the money they spent.
