Re: Complaint against Corporation Bank, KP Block, Pitampura Branch, Delhi - 110088

I am a senior citizen and after reading an advertisement in today's newspaper - Business Line - that Corporation Bank

is accepting fixed deposits from senior citizens @ 9.75% for 5 years or more, I went to Corporation Bank, KP Block, Pitampura Branch, Delhi 88, and filled up an application form for a FD for Rs.40000/- for five years.But the Manager of this branch refused to accept this form and asked me that as I do not have any savings account with the branch, he will not accept this application for FD. I showed my Passport in original and Pan card in original but he refused to talk to me and asked me to go out of the bank. This is the treatment of a Branch Bank Manager of Corporation Bank to a senior citizen who has gone to his branch to make a fixed deposit after seeing their advertisement in today's newspaper - Business Line, inviting fixed deposits from senior citizens. The advertisement does not say that a person who does not have a savings account with the branch, will not be able to open a fixed deposit account with the bank
