Sears master card-terrible customer service

I had sears gold master card last year. I opened it in sears store and bought some items about $30-40. I did not get bill for quite few months and i forgot about it. After 3-4 months I got a call from them that i did not pay the bill. When I enquired about the bill found they are writting incomplete address, without the apartment#., so i never got the bill. So some manager got involved and waived off the late payment fees. I paid the balance and closed the card. But they have informed the credit bureau for late payment which is potential negative entry in credit history. Can any one tell how to remove this incorrect information from credit history ?
