We ordered a boxed DVD set from Buy.com in Dec 2006. It arrived in a

bubble mailer two weeks later. On opening the package, and taking the

DVD case out of the outer paper cover, we found that the DVD case is

splintered ( afew small splinters fell off when we opened it). I

contacted Buy.com customer service and after two email exchanges, they

informed me that I cannot return it as I threw away the original mailer.

I think it is simply an excuse to avoid a return and I ma really upset.


I spent several hundred dollars on my purchases at Buy.com last year and

I am not going to do any business with them in future. I am happy that I

escaped with only a small loss (what if I bought a HD TV?).
