Nintendo Wii / Product Supply

As a global company, I can't believe how poorly Nintendo has launched their Wii product delivery to retailers!

It is so close to false advertising! They deliver POS materials to all of the electronic game retailers, invest marketing dollars on commercial and print ads yet deliver very little to none product to the stores to meet the consumer demands. They created the demand....now they need to honor it!!!!

I have been your typical consumer trying to get my hands on a Wii console for my child as a Christmas gift by standing in long lines in the early morning hours watching the sun rise. I justified this craziness by telling myself it is part of the Christmas frenzy. Now it is January 18th, 2007. I have visited retailers several times each week only to be told, "No, we have not received any shipments of the Nintendo Wii consoles." These retailers include ToysRUs, Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, and EB games.

WOW....this is such a product launch blunder! A company of their size creating such demand and not meeting the supply for the demand is unbelieveable. I can understand the shortage during the Holiday but to not plan for after the holiday orders for 2007 is just unacceptable.

I have expressed this to many other shoppers and retail business partners. How can there be plenty of Xbox systems and PS3s in the stores but not any Nintendo Wiis? Consumers will begin to think twice when deciding which system to choose for their gaming entertainment.

I waited in line at the nintendo store in NY for hours to buy one. There thya alos had more demand than supply.

Check EBAY some people - CHECK FOR REPUTABLE SELLERS have them.
