We loved the French door look and the Brushed stainless steel finish (Titanium) that did not show flaws & finger prints.
1. Three days after the fridge was installed we heard a sound that sounded like coffee brewing somewhere. A couple days later, we found a pool of water surrounding our fridge all over our Wood Floor. The hose and hose connector for the water dispenser malfunctioned and leaked water. It warped the wood floor so we had to remove the cupboard to get the fridge out to repair it. It sat in the middle of kitchen for four weeks because we had to wait for parts and we had to replace the wood floor so the fridge could fit back in.
2. The ice cube maker produces more ice than the tray can hold. So every time you open the freezer door ice cubes fall all over the floor and many are trapped in the drawers, baskets, and bottom of the fridge.
3. The freezer door does not hold a tight seal when closed so frost accumulates all over the frozen food after just weeks in the freezer.
4. Frost continues to accumulate around the freezer walls and builds up on the back side of the freezer so that the main controller and fan spin and hit the build up of ice so it makes a terrible noise and will eventually brake down the fan and main controller unit of the fridge.
5. Once a month we have to empty the freezer portion of the fridge and wash it down with warm water to get rid of all the built up frost/ice blocks to stop the motor and fan from hitting the ice and causing damage.
5. After several phone calls and complaints, we finally got an error message on the LCD screen on the front of the fridge. They would come and look at it now because it was still under warranty and the error message gave them a clue on what might be wrong. Still no Technician could figure out the problems.
6. They finally put in a longer ice cube arm so that the ice cube maker would stop making to much ice, but that did not help. It continues to make more than the tray can hold and ice continues to fall all over the floor and into the trays and baskets of the freezer.
7. After trouble shooting with the supplier of the fridge for over a year, they suggested the only possible solution they are aware of is to replace the PCB main control and Control Defrost Assembly. The cost for this repair is approx. $300.00. However, they stated that they have seen in the field when the have made this repair that it still has not fixed the problem. They feel it should not be the expense of the customer if it is not going to solve the problem.
Damage Resulting = 8. Our fridge is now just over a year old and the LG warranty has expired. LG refuses to honor any requests to try and solve these problems we have been experiencing since the 1st day of installation.
8. The customer service department at the LG plant refuses to acknowledge any problem nor will they stand behind their product for any defects and have refused to help fix and or replace the fridge.
9. Also, the beautiful stainless steel brushed finish, that we loved so much when new, is know showing every little dent, nick, scratch, and has little to no abuse to it. The plastic covering that covered the finish, when it was delivered, is still dangling from the seams where it was glued for protection.
Overall, we have never been so disappointed with a large purchase appliance and the manufacturer until this experience with LG.

Seems like every few month, I get the same error msg. I do notice a bit of frost build-up in the freezer compartment. I have to unplug and let the freezer remain unplug overnight before I can use it again. I can't say enough, how much I regret this purchase! We just put in a phone call today for our second ER/FF error. Our fridge is not running right now, and we were told it would be at least 3 days before a repairman would be sent. I almost wish is was unrepairable so that we would be forced to replace it.
