Our wedding day was July 15, 2006.

We had a hotel block with the Holiday Inn in Morris, Illinois. With our hotel block, we were promised a complimentary hotel room.

We arrived at the Holiday Inn at about 11pm. The two ladies at the front desk said that there was no reservation for the hotel block and that they would not accommodate us.

We were standing there fully dressed in our bridal attire, wedding dress and tuxedo, and the lady had the nerve to laugh and say, "Are you guys part of the wedding party?" The other lady had the nerve to tell us that we should go next door to the Comfort Inn to see if they had available rooms. However, I knew that the Comfort Inn did not have available rooms because we also had a hotel block with them for our guests. Our suite was to be reserved at the Holiday Inn, no where else.

I said, "Well, I thank your manager, Jerry Hernandez for ruining our wedding night." We were forced to go home because the Holiday Inn gave our room away.

I spoke with Jerry Hernandez, the hotel general manager, about this plan for 3 MONTHS prior to the wedding date. It was WELL KNOWN that we were planning on staying at the Holiday Inn after our wedding.

I filed a complaint with the corporate office of the Holiday Inn almost a YEAR ago and have not heard anything back from them or Jerry Hernandez. I am demanding that something be done about this.

I will boycott the Holiday Inn and spread the word to everyone I know of how the Holiday Inn is a horrible vendor who does not take care of their guests.

A complaint was sent to the Better Business Bureau, and nothing has been handled to my satisfaction. The Holiday Inn should at least offered our free night's stay as compensation, but NOTHING had been done. Now I believe they owe us a whole weekend stay at the Holiday Inn of our choice.

The former Holiday Inn is now a Quality Inn. There is a new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites next door. Opened in April of 2008. Great place, great staff.
