CVS STORE #5435 2915 Hwy 190 Mandeville , La. I am a former CVS employee and I just breezed through the CVS complaints pages of this website . I am disgusted to see that customers have as difficult a time getting their complaints put through to the Woonsocket Mafia as their poor employees do . What a bunch of snooks CVS has morphed and metastized into ! They are a corporate cancer that is in stage 4 . How can customers be lied to over their "ExtraCare" savings cards . I know one big reason the cards and customer information never get entered into the CVS consumer-database - the store management does not train the cashiers and shift supervisors on how to properly and promptly mail the customer info to the home office .. CVS relies on the US Postal Service ( snail-mail) to handle customers personal info . No small wonder the info never gets to be entered into the " ExtraCare" card data system . Either it is lost in transit or more commonly it is never sent . It was common until I started working at a CVS which shall be nameless that the envelope with the "Extra Care " customer completed forms sat buried and neglected for weeks if not , I suspect , a month or so in various piles of counter clutter which was likely deposited by the store supervisors and managment . I started to take it upon myself to send off every Monday any group of collected customer applications that I could lay my hands on . The Management and shift-supervisors should have performed that duty, but they could not careless about the "ExtraCare " card applications ..I felt like I was part of a sham prompting the counter customers to apply knowing that their voluntary info was treated in a carefree fashion . I soon adapted to not offering the "ExtraCare " card app- lication to shoppers at the checkout . The other disservice that CVS gave to the CVS shopper was that they had little or staff covering the check-out . As a customer and as a employee , I regularly encoutnered no cashier present at the checkout counter . The customers would regularly complain to me that I was the only person they ever saw at checkout ! The only cashier they hired was 20 years younger and paid more per hourly than I was . I had to do 3-employees jobs ( Checkout-photolab and phone receptionist ) for this younger Blondhaired college gal's superior pay and inferior workload . All she did was checkout and she was paid more . I t was not her fault that the white male management cheifly responsible for the CVS that we worked at seemed to be practising age discrimination . Her hiring was the begining of the end for my career at CVS . In the end the management of this nameless CVS in Louisiana strung me along to cover the photolab while a non-management employee took a nine day vacation ( the 3rd vacation in 5 months for this employee ) to a famous american theme park in Orlando , Florida . The very day that the vacationer returned is the day that the managment scheduled me off and conducted interviews for a promised position/promotion. I was not invited to the interview , yet I was told by the management that the positon was for me . Is anyone out ther getting a whiff of the real CVS yet ????? I feel that i have wasted my time with CVS and regret being in their corporate rats' nest . I applogize to any person I encouraged to fill out the "ExtraCare" card and advise anyone who reads this to get rid of the card and its offerings . Bernise D.
