Consumer's Original Complaint :

On or about 8/16/06, I purchased a new 2006 Kia Sorento from this company's Kirkwood location at 10749 Manchester Rd. for $23,000. At the time of my purchase, the company advertised, "a $1000.00 gas card on the purchase of a 2006 Kia Sorento, see photo of advertisement at www.boycec.com/loufusz.html." At the time of my purchase, I was informed by the sales representative, Tim Huffman, that I did not qualify for the promotion. Later, I asked Brian Ramsey, General Manager, to provide me with the qualification for the gas card, but my attempt was unsuccessful. I sent email messages and a Certified USPS letter attached. I have yet to receive this requested information. After some investigation, Kia Motors of America informs me that this is not a promotion of theirs and is solely that of Lou Fusz Kia. I have forward approximately 12 email messages to Email User, and Email User In addition to forwarding, a Certified Mail USPS 7003-1680 0002 1430 5260, I am requesting the BBB's assistance on this matter as I would like the firm to substantiate why my purchase does not qualify for the $1,000.00 gas card.

Our offer was not available to Mr. Collins. He recieved a discount and agreed that the sale was final and nothing was promised or owed.(We have a signed aggrement stating nothing promised, nothing owed.)

After the sale he called in reguesting a gas card and we explained his agreed sale did not include a gas card.

He had excepted a 100 dollar gas card (goodwill for his misunderstanding).

10/27/2006 BBB MORE INFO RECEIVED FROM THE CONSUMER : In Mr. Tom Dempsey reply to my primary question, I remain confused as to why I was not offered or given the $1000.00 gas card that Lou Fusz publicly advertised on their store fore. "Our offer was not available to Mr. Collins" This statement does not answer or provide me with an answer as to why I did not get the advertised $1000.00 gas card. In addition, I most certainly did not receive any discount on the purchase of my new Kia vehicle from Lou Fusz. However, I totally agreed on the contractual arraignments of the purchase of my Kia. Please do not allow Lou Fusz to shirk my question. So that there is no confusion on this matter, No I do not accept Mr. Dempsey reply to my question. And therefore, I remain vigilant on my question and that is why I did not receive the $1000.00 gas card from Lou Fusz on the purchase of my new Kia, Sorento.
