To Whom It May Concern:


I received this unit as a wedding gift and it never worked! I spoke to a consumer care representative that didn’t seem to know anything about the product. She said that I my product was out of warranty and that I would have to pay for an exchange. I have not been married more than 6 months and she still said it was out of warranty. I asked when the warraty period started and she said May of 2006. She confirmed that today’s date was in fact January of 2007 and yet it is still out of warranty.


I asked to speak to a supervisor and did so. The supervisor, Marcus Milo, said that the warranty information was correct BUT that the May date was misinformation. He further gave me the very same option for exchange as the representative. I inquired about the misinformed warranty date further and he said that the representative was probably looking at the wrong thing and that the system cannot tell when the warranty start would be.


I went onto Philips website to check the warranty status of my unit. I inputted the model and serial number and found that in fact their system DOES show the start date of May 26th, 2006. Clearly, I was lied to by a Philips supervisor.


This is the second Philips product that failed to work and was unrecoverable. Though 10 years apart, they have evidently never change their poor products.
