I wanted to send in a complaint against Academy Services a collection agency. These people have been harassing me and my husband for many months on a debt they bought from the original debtor. We have told these people that both of us are disabled, and injured and unable to work but they call 4-5 times a day.

Lastnight, my husband had all he could take and he said to them, "look what do you want from me, my food stamps?". The man on the other end of the phone line who had identified himself as being with Academy Services, said "yes, you can sell your food stamps for money and sent it to us". I believe if I'm not mistaken, selling food stamps for money is illegal. My husband told the man, "no way am I going to break the law for you people". I was able to find the number for this company online and I called them and made a complaint. I am going to contact my local police department to notify them of the constant harassment these people have been doing.

I notice that before we get a call from these people, our phone rings and we answer and we get no response, then, they call us back almost immediately after we hang up the phone. This afternoon, they had an operator call me and say to me, "this is the operator, you have a call holding for you". I hung up the phone thinking i was receiving a collect phone call. We are withholding our names for fear of retaliation from this company.
