G/E Washer and Dryer

My family and I bought a new GE washer and dryer.

 

In the first week we had them we had to..... Call out a service man because the dryer door's paint was coming off onto our clothes, they brought us a USED dryer door "reminder" ( This is a Brand New Dryer) 2 days later washer is making a hummming noise ... call service man says we new timer..

 

Everytime we call a Service man it takes at least 3 days to get him here..

 

One week later........... The dryer is making all kinds of noises and is not getting warm or hot... We call service man comes out says it needs new glides and new heating element.

 

3 weeks later ............. Washer is making a humming sound when it is off... Call Service man... Needs new timer.

 

1 week later......... Dryer is making noises again call service man and tell him it sounds like metal on metal.... WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE SAID Dryer's are suppose to sound like that can you believe this guy..

 

BY this time we have called the company we bought the washer and dryer from and tell them we want a new washer and dryer these are not even a month old and we have had nothing but trouble with them.. "They say we have to call GE" OK we did this.. "GE says they have to contact the company we bought them from". No one ever calls us back we call them they say they can not replace them................. In the mean time we get mail asking us to purchase extended warranty. "THANK GOD WE DID"

 

We have called GE a total of 12 times and we get no where everyone passes the buck onto someone else you have to talk to Sam, Sam says call George, George says no I can't do any thing Call so N so.. I'm so tired of hearing GE's waiting music I could scream AHHHHHH...


I'am not rough on my washer or Dryer my children nor my husband use them, and it is not used everyday so they can't say that.

 

Ill make this story very short...... We have had 4 service men out here, 2 different company's to work mostly on the dryer. They have taken our dryer with them for over a week " To Rebuild it " Our house has almost caught on fire ... not 1 but 3 times because of this dryer and GE STILL WILL NOT GET US A NEW DRYER .

They have fixed these things on the Dryer alone and these are just that I can remember.

 

# 1 glides 2 times

# 2 heating elements 4 times

# 3 The door

# 4 The belt 3 Times

# 5 and this time the cord it has melted I mean MELTED to where the prongs are black .

 

Im so afraid that one night this dryer is gonna catch my home on fire and someone in my family is going to loose their life. I don't have money to just go buy another new dryer because GE is trying to save money. Your not telling me GE is saving money by sending these poor service guys out here more then a dozen times. What is wrong with saying that one id defective and bringing us a new one?

 

So now where do we go? We have done everything we know to do.

 

We have it with a Lawyer that if our house catches on fire and we die because of it to have the fire marshal check the dryer, because if some thing does not happen with this dryer Im afraid my house may burn.

 

Please.. buyer BEWARE, DO NOT BUY GE
