To whomever, My complaint is years ago my spouse had a membership with BMG Columbia House--- first albums, the CD's, then DVD's. I received a notice from the collection agency stating we owed $43.88 to them. Okay, we have done no business with them since 2003. We canceled membership with them after I repeatedly paid for the same products. I first tried calling every phone number to Columbia House BMG that I found on their web sites to discover the numbers were no longer in service. After calling the collection agency, I found the bill was from February 3, 2003. Shouldn't sometime between then and now they have sent me a bill or called and notified me? Why 4 years later? And from a collection agency?? I try to have good credit and this is really damaging, not to mention aggravating! Why do they not have a telephone for the customers and past customers? How many other people have they done like this? I think action should be taken.
