Charter Communications Complaint

Charter Communications Complaint Charter Communications O'Fallon Illinois The digital cable service doesn't work days at a time. You can go an entire weekend without a signal. Our service has been down at least 6 days every month for the last 6 months. Usually the service is down over large areas, and, after a few days, it comes back on. The last time the picture started pixilating every minute or so. It made it impossible to watch television. There was not an area wide outage. We called charter Friday night, and the soonest an appointment could be made was the following Tuesday morning. The technician came, and replaced the box and left. It was still pixilating. I called Charter, and they told me a technician would be back out that same day. It is now Thursday afternoon, and no technician. I call the number Charter has on my bills, and they tell me one thing, but the local charter service tells me another. I can't get any answer on what is wrong with my service. I now get no signal at all. The 800 number charter gives doesn't do any good, and they don't give out the local service number. The local technicians refuse to listen to the people at the 800 number. So Charter service is non existent. I will report my experience every where I can, but they are a monopoly. Monopolies don't work well for consumers. Any company can go into any area and start business. They don't because it is too expensive. They would have to put in all of their own equipment and then compete with the existing cable company. That is why there are rarely more than one cable company providing service to one area.
