Buying computer Dear Sir
We went into Comp USA 1/30/07. To purchase a computer They has a package deal that was $ 809.00 out the door price plus tax and with a rebate . . I told the salesman I wanted to purchase it. And he said he had to tell me about the warranty. So I heard him out He wanted me to purchase an extended warranty Which was over 300.00 dollars and I said I wasn't interested in it.And he started in on me telling me all these things could happened to the computer And again I told him no And again He started in on the warranty and told me suppose I had a power surge and how much it would cost if the computer crashed. with no extended warranty. I have no idea how long he kept go about this. My husband was sick of listening to him so he walked away. And I was getting so upset cause I guess the salesman wasn't planning to sell it to me . I finally said to him You just lost a sale. And went home. I like to know how many times a person has to say no I DO NOT WANT THE WARRANTY. That in my book thats what they call harassment.
So when we came home we called Comp USA and talked to the mananger And he said that was there policy. And I tryed to explain I understand what he was saying . But I didn't think It was nesscerary to keep on trying to push something on someone that keep saying I DON"T WANT IT. And he had no apology And never said we will sell it to you or nothing . He said that was the way they train there employee. and so be it. And I told him he could keep it . I even told him I was ready to write the check And he had nothing to say.
