RCA DVD Recorder/VCR Combo

RCA DVD Recorder/VCR Combo The device cannot always read its own recorded DVD. It will arbitrarily indicate a disc problem when it has been recording on that disk for four or five times from TV half hour programs. This is before the DVD's have been finalized. I have had to discard several dozen DVD's and consequently have lost much time and many recorded programs. The RCA Company will not respond to my complaints except to say to unplug and then replug the electrical cord to clear the problem. The unreadable discs cannot be recovered but the Recorder will then work for a short time and subsequently revert back to the same problem of not being able to read its own recorded DVD's. Now they (Thomson) are sending out my SECOND replacement unit. They refuse to refund my money or provide a different model. It's a worthless piece of crap. I have posted a complaint on this site and hopefully the word will get out how bad this company is about backing up their products.
