First Premier Bank

First Premier Bank I recently started receiving calls from this company saying I was responsible for charges placed on a credit card that I never received. I have told countless people at the company that I never received the card and today was told if I hadn't asked for the card they wouldn't have all my personal information. How can I get them to stop calling me and get them off my credit report?!? I never received a card from them so no way am I paying for something I never received. Why on earth would someone pay for a card they never got??? And they won't let me speak with someone who can explain why I am being held responsible for the charges. Some guy named Josh calling himself a supervisor told me I was only going to get to talk to him and all he wanted to talk to me about was making a payment on the account. An account I never opened@!!!! WHAT A SCAM!!!
Does anyone know what action I can take to clear up this matter legally. I would love to see the Bank be forced to close in the process.

I left there in 2004. There are always cases where someone either applied for a card and then never received it or someone applied for one in thier name, often a family member or neighbor. If you never applied for this you need to tell them that, they will file a fraud report and a investigator at the bank will review it and might ask for information from you to complete the request. Assuming they find on your behalf (the vast majority of the time), then they will close it out and remove it from your credit bureau. If you did a apply for it and just never received it then it is a stolen card and you need to dispute the charges. You could also close it if you are unaware of the fees and dont want it anymore. Also I am aware many people complain abou the fees on the card, in my opinion they are clearly displayed, not only on the application but on the card carrier the card is attached to when it comes and also on the first statement. Anyone that opens an account and changes mind and doesnt want to keep it for any reason including the fees can close it. Even if they used the card they will still remove the fees if you promptly pay what you charged. This is standard policy at the bank and was in thier manuals. Noone is ever stuck with the card if they dont want it nor is forced to pay any fees if they dont want to keep the card. I agree the card fees are high however if you understand how high the chargeoff rates on these cards are you would understand why they have to be charged. If you ever have any issue or feel you are being mistreated I would reccommend you ask for the presedential office and they should either transfer you or take a callback request. thank you former employee try to shed some light.
