My boyfriend signed up for Amp'd phone company at Best Buy. We got 1000 minutes and unlimited text messaging. After two weeks the phone wouldn't work unless it was on speaker.
A month later we received a bill in the mail and paid it in full. That bill was sent for the month of october. It is now february and we had not gotten one bill. Then two days ago we got a call for a customer representative telling us that we owed $3000 dollars to amp'd mobile. When we asked how the bill could be that much since we hadn't gotten one in monthes they told us it was because they had sent the bill electronically to our e-mail. They didn't even have the right e-mail! We asked the lady if there was anything we could do about it and she said no but you have to pay it and then hung up on us. They told us that if we wanted bills sent through the mail that we would of had to sign up for it for 1.75 a bill. THat is rediculous! I then told her that if we hadn't signed up for the mailed bills then how did we get the first one through the mail. She obviously had no idea. And that was all she said What kind of company waits until someone owes three thousand dollars until they attempt to contact them? This is the worst experience i have ever had with a phone company So now we own three thousand dollars because their company failed to send a bill to us and on top of that, for a phone that didn't even work right! . I STRONG SUGGEST TO NEVER GO WITH THEM!
