I'm submitting this written complaint in regards to WELLS FARGO AUTO FINANCE based out of PA. To avoid the struggle with the last 18 months of pymts. left to owe on my minivan, I made the payoff, via Western Union Quick Collect, as instructed by Wells Fargo using the code city provided by Wells Fargo. What a fabulous feeling to have paid that puppy off, right? Well, not so much. Seven days later, yes an entire week, I was awakened by my 5 yr. old son that someone just took our van out of the driveway.
We're now at day number 5, and my van is still in the impound lot, along with my childrens carseats and other belongings, because although Wells Fargo has been contacted hourly by myself and by Western Union representatives, they can virtually "see" the money there, but because it went to "the wrong city code", which remember, was provided to me by Wells Fargo, they can't locate it to "post" it to my account in order to "legally" release my vehicle to me, which by the way, I have to go and get it myself!!
The saddest fact being that I can't tell you that Wells Fargo Customer Service has been nice or helpful or speedy by any means. I have had more assistance and received more respect from the people at Western Union and the re-po company itself. Hmmmm, that pretty much speaks volumes for itself, doesn't it?
Go the extra mile people, find a finance company other than Wells Fargo Auto Finance, or it's buyer beware!!
