Sony camcorder SDR-SR-40 I want to report the service I received from YELLOWBEE PHOTO, 1778 Westend Avd., Brooklyn, NY. 11235. www.yellowbeephoto.com (866-903-4804) On February 6, 07, I ordered a Sony DCR-SR60 camcorder, a higher quality camera, they advertised on their website for the low price of $518.00. They immediately e-mailed me a confirmation that I was to receive my order by standard shipping in about 5 days. Over a week passed and I still hadn't received my order so I called them. I was informed they had intended to call me to say this camera was no longer available, and said they had a much better deal for me. In place I was told they had a "special" deal with a retail value of $1200.00. The salesperson was very difficult to understand, and he offered a replacement which included a Sony DCR-SR40 with a tripod, filters, and an extended warranty, that I didn't even want, for $729.98. Had I known what I found out later, I would have not reordered from them at that time, but I needed the camera. I finally received the package on Feb.20, 07. I already had decided that I would immediately return the order because I had found another SONY camcorder with a "complete deluxe accessory kit" for $604.85 through amazon.com, a very reliable source. After reading other customer reviews concerning the SUPERBEEPHOTO business ethics, many people including myself, feel that they were scammed. To make matters even worse, this company advised me that when they received the return package, a package seal had been broken and they would be charging me a 30% restocking fee for the sum of $218.99. Something must be done to protect consumers from business like this. Today I called them, and after a long wait, I stated my complaint concerning the restocking fee, and they hung up the phone before I could finish my issue. This business must be alerted to all customers before any more customers get scammed. I am a retired businessman, and if I had operated my business the way they do, I would have been put out of business years ago. Sincerely, William G.
