We went on post to Fort Lewis, Washington to purchase a new washer and dryer on February 18, 2007. We paid for an extra service of delivery AND for them to take away our old washer and dryer. We were told by the sales associate we would receive a call by Tuesday the 20th for our delivery of our washer and dryer. We had to keep calling Aafes on Fort Lewis to find out when our appliances would be delivered because nobody called us. Finally on Monday, February 26th, we had to physically go into the furniture store on post and hunt somebody down to give us a day that the appliances could be delivered. We were told the items would be delivered Tuesday, February 27th. Meanwhile, this company, True Delivery Service called and left a very unprofessional message on our answering machine on Monday probably after the sales associate contacted them and told them how upset we were.
True Delivery Service came out and the hired help they had to bring in our washer BROKE an item from our washer. Water was gushing everywhere and we had to shut our water off. (Our home is a brand new home, built in 2003. It is barely 4 years old.) The hired help was very rude and was yelling at my husband. There was NO NEED for such ignorant behavior. We are also having our floors redone and the workers couldn't believe how this hired help from True Delivery Service was talking to my husband. Then the very lazy, worthless hired help said they couldn't get my dryer into my house. We informed them we had done our homework and measured before shopping for a washer/dryer set and that it WOULD fit. All the hired help from True Delivery Service would say is, "That's not our job." They would not even TRY to fit the dryer in and left it sitting in the garage. The company that is putting in my wood floors were kind enough to lift my dryer and put it in my washer room WITHOUT even having to unhinge my door.
I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this company. What angers me more is that when I called to talk with somebody at True Delivery Service, they would not take my call. ALSO, I am VERY disappointed with Aafes because that is who I paid for this service. The sales rep at Aafes was not helpful at all. I feel I should be refunded for such horrible service. I PAID Aafes, Aafes should refund me. BUT they did not and pushed me off to deal with this problem myself. Aafes has the contract/does business with this company. If I am unsatisfied, it should be Aafes job to fix it. I will not be shopping at Aafes and the savings do not out way the horrible treatment we have received.

Just because it is a Gov't store doesn't make it right. In fact they should be setting the example. Get rid of UNTRUE Delivery Service and get someone who will do the job right. Unfortunately, AAFEES deals w/contracts and doesn't really do it's homework...they go with the BEST deal and don't really care about the consumer/US. I had many run-ins when I would shop at AAFES and finally just stopped, the savings is not that GREAT!!!
