Broadbandoffers and Comcast

Broadbandoffers and Comcast In a way I am luckier then others in that my complaint did not cost me any money - in fact, I was given the runaround before even attempting to spend it. Broadbandoffers was offering a special promotion for 19.99 a month service for 6 months and free installation. Unfortunately, the apartment I was trying to set up was part of an apartment block (you know, 1000a, 1000b, 1000c, etc.). A neighbor already has comcast and that threw the broadbandoffers site for a fit and they said that my apartment had broadband already. I called comcast and their computers saw the separate apartments and they gave me the number for broadbandoffers (888-898-9934). Those operators sent me over to comcast and said that they used the comcast database and that comcast had to push the information to them. Comcast had no idea what was going on and their departments proceeded to bounce me between each other, with each operator promising to call me in an hour. Finally one of their operators took an interest and tried calling broadband offers who sent him on a wild goose chase, until he finally promised to call me back in an hour. Next day comes in and I call, the operator had left some ambiguous note regarding the issue saying that I needed to go to a physical Comcast location. *blink* The online comcast chat just told me that I should talk to sales (who had previously sounded even more confused and bored then the one I was speaking with). So end of the day, I am getting full priced comcast until I have a few days to shop, and then I am calling Clark Howard. Alternate-sources-of-internet-and-tv here I come!
