Consumer Portfolio Services, Irvine Ca. Ripoff..illegal collection tactics...rude

I bought a truck at a used car lot Aug 2006 It was financed by CPS (Consumer Portfolio Services) Started out the Dealership lie dto us to make a sale We were told it was still under factory warranty to 100,000 mi. It only had 52,000 on it 3 months later the transmission went out Guess what! no warranty! Then we were told that our payments included tax. title and license..we have still not recieved a registration , therefore we can not legally drive it Its been 6 months...We failed to make one payment...we hoped we could work something out with CPS...we only witheld the payment since we are unable to license the vehicle. Now they call us 5 times or more a day Calling us liars, making threats...saying they are going to come that day and repo if I dont give them my bank info They have done this 3 times..still havent repoed it but the harrassing calls havent stopped. They wont let you talk..they just go on and on..they even told me that it was obvious that my husband and I had marriage problems! If you try to explain or talk to them..they hang up on you. It is nothing but BS..trying to use scare tactics or intimidate someone.. they have threatened to put us in jail if we are caught driving their truck...they threaten to garnish my husbands wages. If anyone buys a used car in monroe, La. do not go to Performance Cars & Trucks and do not let any dealer talk you into letting CPS finance you...they are nothing but a racket!
