My name is Anwar Rais, 504 Horseshoe Drive, Euless Texas. I am writing this letter to seek some help from your esteem media regarding a 60inch Philip HDTV purchase made from Fry’s Electric store, Irving, Texas in 2004, with a 3 years Warranty.


 


On 11th of December 2006, my TV had a problem with the TV set and the picture was showing double faces and the color was weird. I called the Fry’s Service department on December 12th or 13th, and they said that they will send their technician to check and see what can be done. The company they hired was BURRIS & PRICE, located in Irving Area. The technician came after a week and said that one of the parts is bad and they have to get the part and will come after the holiday. They got the part in their store and when I they said they have to schedule me the technician to come to my place and get that fixed. So they schedule me to get the technician to my home on the 8th January 2007.


 


Unfortunately, the weather was bad couple day before the 8th and when I call Burris & Price shop a day before the schedule time, they said since the weather was bad, all their schedule is messed up and they have to reschedule me, they reschedule for the 10th and when the technician came, he without checking the part at their shop, brought the part and that was a bad part and said they have to take the take the TV to the shop where they will get it fixed. I called the Fry’s and they were not of any help and they said they cannot do anything for the TV besides letting them take the TV to their workshop and fix it.


 


Since then and now, I have called Burris and Price several time and they are giving a lame excuse that the part they order the new part and that part was bad and they have to re-order and next time they said that there is another part bad and they have to order and then again they said the part number Philips gave them and send them was not the correct part so they have to reorder the parts again.


 


Similarly, Fry’s service department are not very co-operative, and says that they cannot guarantee the time frame of the repair and they have been working with Burris and Price for over 5 years and had no problem with them getting the service done. Also, they are not responsible for the parts not being delivered in time by Philips. I called Fry’s store more than 30 times during this time.


 


I requested them that it is not acceptable for a customer to be without a TV for such a long time and it seems they done Care about this. My warranty time will be over in March and once they fixed the TV and if that goes bad again I will be out of warranty within few days and will have no chance to see if the TV runs good or not, and if something goes wrong they will not take care of my TV and I will be out of Luck and will lose my TV which I bought it for $1,800.00 plus including the warranty.


 


Since, it is over 2 months, (I am not able to watch my super bowl and most of my football game and basketball game). I requested them to give me new TV to which they again said that the TV is getting fixed and they cannot give me new TV. I also asked them that since your technician has taken over 2 months to fix the TV, then at least increase my warranty by 3 months from the day my TV is fixed so I will have the change to see that it doesn’t fail on me. Again to that also they didn’t agree.


 


Also yesterday Burris & Price told me that the part is back order till March 19, 2007. I don’t know what to do. Now maybe Phillips can help me out and see what they can do.


 


I hope that there is someone to help me or no one is afraid of Day of Judgement.


 


I now need your esteem help in this matter and want to see what you can do for me. I have been patience and want your help.
