Ford Truck

Hello, I would like to get your advice on the following matter.

For years we have been buying heavy duty Ford trucks but the last one has been a true nuisance. I purchased a 2004 F350 diesel Ford truck in 2004. We started having problems a year later. Now the situation has gotten out of hand and I'm very frustrated as I don't know what to do or where to go. This truck has been out of service for several months already! We have taken it to 2 prestigious Ford dealerships and they weren't able to fix it! We were adviced that due to our negligence of not making regular oil changes, it had messed up the engine. This is totally ridiculous and untrue. We have done regular maintenance on this truck as is our "luxury" truck. One of the dealerships just plainly asked us to pick it up as they couldn't do anything to it! The other said we needed to replace the engine etc. which it would cost us over $13,000!! We are making monthly payments of over $750 already! We took the truck to an independent qualified mechanic and he said the engine was all messed up but it was due to the way it was built by Ford. He couldn't fix it as well. I don't know what else to do. I am so disappointed in Ford that I'm seriously reconsidering buying a Ford truck ever again in my life. Any advice would help.
