Blue Green Travel I received a phone call in May of 2006, from Blue Green Travel about the Las Vegas/ Orlando package. No-one ever told me that the Orlando part had to be used first. I scheduled dates (so I thought) in Las Vegas for the weekend of March 9-12 of this year. That is the weekend that Nascar will be in Las Vegas. So, yesterday, I called the company that my so-called reservations were with (Great Vacation Destinations). I was kindly informed that I do-not have reservations for that weekend and it would cost me $50 to use the Vegas one first and I wouldn't be able to get rooms until the 11 of March, or later. Here it is 2 weeks before race weekend, I have my race tickets and no place to stay! You need to make room reservations for that weekend, almost a year in advance. So, my "Great Vacation" weekend that was supposed to cost ONLY $179 for the weekend, has now ended up costing ME $590. I luckily found rooms, 1 hour from the track at $119.99+tax/night and since it was past the 30 period, couldn't get a refund on "MY WONDERFUL, GREAT VACATION DESTINATION" with Blue Green Travel.
