BMW 325 XI 2001 (San Rafael, CA Sonnan BMW)

I have had my 2001 325 XI since 2001 and have 98005 miles on

it, and now I have one problem after another with it. I have to take it

into the shop every 5 weeks --- and have had to do this for the last 2

years. Is this normal? I don't think so The service person at Sonnan BMW in San Rafael,

CA, tells me this is normal wear and tear. Come on. I wasn't born yesterday. And besides, are not BMW's supposed to rock solid cars. I miss my old Honda Civic, which onlyhad to to the shop once in 7 years or so.. and that was after someone broke into it.

BMW is supposed to be a great car. What do I do? I keep taking a day off from work, leaving my car at the service dealer, waiting for them to fix it, etc....

Any advice would be
